Forcepoint Acquires RedOwl

We are thrilled to share with you we have acquired RedOwl, the leader in security analytics focused on helping customers understand and manage human risk. This latest milestone in Forcepoint’s human point strategy arms customers with cybersecurity systems designed for the reality of today’s threats.

As of August 28, the transaction has closed and the RedOwl product line, now known as Forcepoint UEBA (User and Entity Behavior Analytics), has been incorporated into our Data and Insider Threat business. You now have a Forcepoint-branded UEBA solution to offer to our mutual customers.

RedOwl’s UEBA technology is ideally suited to our human-first approach to cyber. Since 2011, the company has focused specifically on delivering capabilities that provide visibility into the holistic activities of people. Its sophisticated security analytics platform will be integrated across our portfolio and into customers’ existing cybersecurity technologies (e.g., SIEM).

RedOwl’s platform will fill our customers’ need for insights into anomalous interactions and access that occur across people, data, devices and applications. In addition, the combination of Forcepoint UEBA, Forcepoint DLP and Forcepoint Insider Threat will provide the industry’s only comprehensive solution for understanding and responding to the behaviors and intent of people.
